Course Policies for Online Credit and Noncredit Courses
Tuition, Withdrawal, and Participation Policies for Non-degree Credit Programs
Non-degree Continuing Education Student:
Students who have not yet applied to the degree program will pay tuition of $450 per credit on a course-by-course basis. Students must have a bachelor’s degree and meet the prerequisites for the program and the prerequisites for the course. Courses may be transferred into the degree once they apply and are accepted to the degree program. If you have questions about prerequisites please contact email@example.com.
Withdraw Policy for Credit Courses:
Automatic Withdraw: Very Important to note: Online students must log in and participate in the online course by 11:58 pm (central time) on Day 5 of a course 4 weeks or longer. IF they have not logged in or started any of the course work by Day 5 they will be automatically withdrawn.
Automatic Withdraw: During the length of the course, online students who have not participated for 7 days will be automatically withdrawn unless their instructor has given prior approval and notified the Enrollment Center Attendance Officer of same.
Student Withdraw: All withdrawals, from all programs and all courses, are subject to the published University Withdrawal policy, which exists in two formats- one for Non-degree Continuing Education and another for degree seeking.
Non-degree Continuing Education withdrawal policy is on a course-by-course basis. A student who withdraws after the first day of the course will be charged a minimum 50% of the course fee, and after 25% of the course, there is no refund:
Online Participation Policy and Expectations:
Online Students will be automatically withdrawn if they do not log in to their online course by 11:58 pm (central time) on Day 5 and participate in online activities as outlined in the course syllabus. Online students who have not participated for 7 days will be automatically withdrawn unless their instructor has given prior approval and notified the Enrollment Center Attendance Officer of same.
Student “attendance” in online courses will be defined as active participation in the course as described in the course syllabus. Online courses have weekly mechanisms for student participation, which can be documented by any or all of the following methods: student tracking records in Sakai; submission/completion of assignments and discussions; and communication with the instructor. Students who do not log on to the course within a 7 day period during the length of the course will be automatically dropped. Students who fail to maintain active participation in an online course as defined in the course syllabus will be dropped from the course.
Students can register for most of the noncredit courses at any time. (courses with specific start dates will be listed) Start date is the day that students register (pay for the course). Login information is sent via email within 24 hrs of your registration date.
- To receive a full (100%) refund you must email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org within 3 days of your registration date.
- You are eligible for a 50% refund 4-7 days after your registration date upon request to email@example.com. No refunds thereafter.
