India January 2016
Course Dates: January 11—February 16, 2016
MUM faculty Cathy Gorini and Tom Brooks have designed a six-week course that will combine deep silent experiences at the Brahmasthan of India with extensive travel around India. The course participants will be both current MUM students, alumni, and friends of the University.
The course will start in the lush South of India where Maharishi first started the Movement, with visits to historic temples, a Maharishi school, and scenic areas. Then you will travel to the Brahmasthan (central point) of India, where you can experience long meditations and have an opportunity to listen to 1331 Maharishi Pandits performing Adi Rudrabhishek – a Yagya for world peace.
After a week at the Brahmasthan, you will travel to the Maharishi Smarak (memorial) in Allahabad and visit the Ashram of the Shankaracharya where Maharishi spent most of thirteen years with Guru Dev. You will also enjoy a boat ride on the holy Narmada River, have an opportunity to bathe in the Ganges River, and then visit the Taj Mahal and Sarnath, where Buddha began his teachings.
The course will end in Rishikesh in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Regular practice of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programs and course readings, discussions, and activities deepen our experience and understanding of Maharishi’s knowledge and of everything we see, hear, and learn about in India – and enable us to share experiences and insights with our group of fellow-travelers.
Join us for a course filled with adventure and knowledge!

This was the trip of a lifetime for me. It perfectly combined deep knowledge and experience of Maharishi's TM and TM-Sidhi program with an amazing tour through India. Not only did we get to see much of the country, but we were touring Maharishi's Vedic India, so we visited so many wonderful places associated with Maharishi's life. This was very for special for me. The trip was extremely well organized. Every detail had been thought of — we could just show up and enjoy — and did we ever enjoy!"
Our Rotating University tour of India was a magical adventure and we were in a bubble of bliss the whole trip. To visit Maharishi's Vedic India, to stand in the library in Trivandrum where the Movement began, to visit the sites described in the Ramayana, to dip in the holy rivers, to enter sacred temples that have been in continuous use for 5,000 years, then to visit Rishikesh where the first teacher training courses were held, is a life-altering experience. Do not miss it!
