MIU students are well known for thinking outside of the box. Want to see this thinking in action? Watch College of Business top student (2015) Eva Saint Denis’ speech on her hemp paper company, “Bright Future: Sustainable Essentials.”

Eva’s speech is a part of the annual MIU tradition known as the Knowledge Fair. The Knowledge Fair is a celebration of the knowledge gained by our students and features the best senior projects from each academic department.

In the video below, Eva discusses how hemp is a much more sustainable raw material for paper than trees. She also walks the audience through her business plan covering: marketing, finance, operations, industry structure, and socio-politics.

As part of their senior projects, business students are required to innovate a business idea and write a comprehensive business plan. If a student wants to turn her/his entrepreneurial project into a an actual business, faculty members connect students with appropriate mentors and investors.
