Tara De Santis (VEDA) Hits High Note with First Release

Welcome to the MIU music blog! For my first entry I will be talking about Tara De Santis, a second year Media and Communications student at MIU.

Tara has been composing and singing since she was 15 years old, but as she explains, her passion really took off when she signed up for Digital Music Production class last year. In this class, she was introduced to the world of recording and production and realized that this field was her dharma. Since then, Tara has been working hard with every free moment to create music and expand her skills in the field. Her music blends elements of different genres such as house, EDM and dance music to create a very unique and powerful sound.

Tara, who goes by the artist name VEDA, recently collaborated with a producer from Maine who goes by Saxon. Their collaboration yielded the song “Aurora,” which has generated quite a bit of attention on Soundcloud with over thirty five thousand views so far and growing! Tara plans to take this buzz and run with it. She is currently working on a music video, hosting weekly radio show Planet of The Mixtapes (Tuesdays at 4pm and Wednesdays at 10 pm on 100.1 KRUU FM), and continuing to write, produce and record music.
