Requirements:
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Numerate, well organised and with excellent attention to detail
- Strong research skills
- A knowledge of best SEO practices
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality
- Flexible team player with the energy and enthusiasm required to work in the charity sector
- A commitment to Globalteer’s Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policy
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Team player but also comfortable working independently
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Writing, editing, and producing regular, high-quality blogs for Globalteer’s website as assigned
- Visiting Globalteer’s local projects and partners to research stories and create unique, intriguing blog content
- Interviewing and communicating with volunteers, staff, and project partners to produce blog content
- Researching topics that relate to Globalteer’s mission and vision and producing high-quality articles about these issues
- Regularly pitch new blog content ideas and work to produce them
- General administration within the marketing and media department
- 37.5-hour work week
- Other duties as assigned in support of Globalteer’s charitable objectives
