On February 29th, 2016, Dr. Paul Morehead of MUM’s Department of Physiology and Health gave a lecture about how the Vedic Literature, or “Veda” relates to the human physiology.

As described by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the founder of our university, the Sanskrit word “Veda” means “knowledge” — knowledge of the field of pure intelligence that is the source of all the diverse fields of knowledge.

Dr. Tony Nader was originally tasked by Maharishi with finding out how the Veda correlates with the different systems and structures found in the human body, and after extensive research Dr. Nader did just that, which resulted in his groundbreaking work, Human Physiology, Expression of Veda and the Vedic Literature.

In this presentation Dr. Morehead presents some of Dr. Nader’s findings to MUM’s students and community.

Watch Dr. Morehead’s lecture in the video below to learn more about the Veda, how it relates to human physiology, and ultimately how we, even as physical individuals can be considered to be manifestations of cosmic principles.
