Maharishi University MBAs Receive Top Scores in Global Simulation

A team of MBA in Accounting students at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, IA recently finished in the 92nd percentile in an online integrated decision-making simulation that involved 1,125 master’s-degree-level teams worldwide. The top team (named Baldwin Group) reflects the international character of MUM’s student population: John Ortaliza (Philippines), Rithy Um (Cambodia), and Elias Mengistu (Ethiopia).

This is the 12th consecutive time that at least one group of MBA students from MUM have finished in the top tenth percentile since they began participating in the simulation in 2011....

MUM Professors Win National Accounting Award

At the Annual Conference of IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) on June 20, 2017, MUM Accounting faculty members Andrew Bargerstock and Ye Shi were recognized as the 2017 IMA Lybrand Gold Medal Award winners for the Best Article published in the peer-reviewed Strategic Finance journal.  The article, “Are We Leaning Away from Standard Costing?: Reconciling Lean Accounting Theory and Practice,” was published in the June 2016 issue.

Maharishi University MBA Students Finish in Top 1% in Worldwide Business Simulation

A team of MBA accounting students at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield recently finished in the 99th percentile in an online business simulation that involved 1,136 master’s-degree-level teams worldwide. The top team reflects the international character of MUM’s student population: Rahul Kedia (India), Sushil Aryal (Nepal), and Ankhbayar Sukhmaa (Mongolia).

Lauren Webster: Taking Psychology to the Workplace

Lauren Webster came to MUM from New Orleans, Louisiana, where she graduated from Xavier University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in sociology.
