11130772_10152934279653772_1944104330_n Tom Morgan’s news is that he is relaunching his intercultural training company to market directly to clients rather than sub-contracting with intermediary intercultural consulting companies to train their corporate clients.

Tom is not new in this field. He has been helping leaders and employees of global organizations communicate effectively across cultural borders for more than 20 years, including Dannon, Nestle Purina, Johnson&Johnson, and even Cirque du Soleil. Recently Tom has become the main intercultural trainer for Walmart, preparing some of their top executives for relocating to Asia or coming to the U.S. from other countries.

Tom’s restructured company—renamed Morgan Intercultural—provides a full spectrum of intercultural services, including: programs to prepare employees for successful foreign assignments, group intercultural business seminars, executive coaching, diversity and inclusion workshops, India-related training programs, and multicultural team-building.

11153996_10152934283098772_324636503_oIn recent years, Tom has been involved in conducting cutting-edge “inclusive leadership” workshops for senior managers at one of the “Big Four” global accounting firms. “Global organizations are far more diverse than ever before,” Tom says. “The majority of employees are now women, people of color, internationals, and Generation Y, all of whom approach their work somewhat differently from each other and from the more traditional, over-50 predominantly Caucasian senior managers.” Inclusive leadership workshops help leaders develop the skills they need to cultivate the talent and commitment of their varied workforce. Tom explains, “Diverse employees who feel valued are more engaged and innovative, and want to stay in the organization.”

We wish Tom great success in his relaunch. And we plan to be there when Skunk River Medicine Show—a duo made up of Tom and George Foster—entertain us with their music and wit at Café Paradiso in Fairfield in early June.
