Visitors Weekends at Maharishi University
What to expect at an MUM Visitors Weekend...

Have you wondered what it’s like to be a student at Maharishi University of Management?

Some experiences cannot be described in words. Being a student at MUM is one of those experiences. Come for yourself and get a taste of student life during one of our Visitors Weekends. All you need to do is show up and we take care of the rest!

“I was struck by the happiness of students and the loving, open atmosphere. People laugh here. People hug here. The professors are open and welcoming when approached.” -Visitor

Visitors-weekend-14Most people describe the MUM Visitors Weekend as transformational and eye-opening. They see the potential for higher education that has less stress, fatigue, peer pressure, and unhealthy habits. At MUM, our students learn in a supportive, healthy environment, while having time for extra-curricular activities and self-development. Coming to our Visitors Weekend will give you a chance to talk with students and faculty and ask as many questions as you want.

When coming to MUM, visitors are surrounded by people who most likely share their own values, life goals, and world views. This brings a feeling of comfort, ease, and a sense of community. But, don’t take our word for it, come see for yourself if this is a place for you.

Spotlight on Events

_MG_2553-EditLike any college visit you will meet students and faculty, tour the campus, and get a chance to sit in on a class. That is where the similarities end. The rest of the weekend you will:

  • Hear a talk from leading brain researcher Fred Travis on Consciousness-Based education.
  • Meet like-minded people who share your values and are interested in inner-consciousness.
  • Tour the unique Sustainable Living Center, which the Associated Press called “the ultimate green building”.
  • Learn about our one class at a time “block system” and other methods to make learning easier and more profound.
  • Hear from award-winning faculty in the Media and Communications and other departments.
  • Learn more about the transformative technique, Transcendental Meditation, that all of the students, faculty, and staff practice twice a day.
  • Experience our organic vegetarian dining hall, which in addition to being delicious, is a visit to a mini-united nations, with students from all over the world.
  • Ask as many questions as you want to faculty, students and admissions counselors.

What MUM Visitor Weekend Attendees Say:

Blown Away

“Hi everyone, I just recently returned home from a visitors weekend there and just wanted to say that I was absolutely blown away with how it went.

Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect but it was so much more than I could have ever imagined; the students and faculty were amazing, everyone greeting each other with smiles and love. I was so moved and so inspired by everything that I saw and felt over the three days I was there that I just really wanted to say thank you.

Why the whole world is not like this magical place I don’t know, but I do know that soon it will be a place I call home! Thanks everyone so much for this profound experience!”

Connection between students & faculty

“MUM seems to have what most U.S. universities lack. The peaceful atmosphere and connection between students & faculty as equals makes it very unique.” — Amanda Fowler, Springfield, MO
