English Language Requirement for International Students
International students who wish to apply to an MUM undergraduate or graduate level degree program must submit official English proficiency test scores administered within the previous two years.
Applicants from American Samoa, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada (except Quebec), Dominica, Grenada, Grand Cayman, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Liberia, New Zealand, Trinidad/Tobago, United Kingdom and U.S. Pacific Trust are exempt from this requirement.
English proficiency tests may be waived for those who have completed Chartered Accountancy examinations from the United Kingdom (becoming ACCA affiliates or members), India, and Nepal because of the extensive study and testing in English that is required for these certifications.
MUM will confirm English fluency through direct interviews and correspondence.
Students with scores higher than those listed below may begin taking classes in their degree program upon arrival.

Students with scores lower than the thresholds listed above will need to enroll in the full-time English as a Second Language (ESL) program. After successful completion of the ESL program, students can apply for their planned academic program at MUM.
Students who wish to apply only to the ESL program do not need to submit a TOEFL, IELTS or PTE score.
