MA in Reading Vedic Literature Checklist for US Applicants
Recommendation
Request one recommendation from someone who can attest to your academic or professional performance. The recommendation should come from a current or former teacher or workplace supervisor. Other recommendations can be considered on a case-by-case basis. Send your recommender the link to our recommendation form, and they will submit it directly back to us.
Transcripts
Request that official transcripts from your bachelor’s degree program be submitted to Maharishi International University. Transcripts must come directly to us from the institutions attended. Transcripts can be sent electronically to admisdoc@miu.edu. Paper copies should be mailed to the address below. Official transcripts sent by mail must be delivered to us in a sealed envelope; official transcripts sent by email must be password protected.

Departmental Interview
Professors in the Maharishi Vedic Science department will interview you to test your skill in reading Sanskrit. This interview can be done by Skype or in person.
Transcendental Meditation (TM) Technique
Applicants to the MA in Reading Vedic Literature program are required to learn the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique before acceptance. For more information on the TM technique or finding a TM teacher, visit TM.org.
Note: Applicants to the IA track of the MA in Reading Vedic Literature are required to be practicing the TM-Sidhi® program.
