Student Housing
Change in Housing
We usually provide single rooms. At times, however, it may be necessary for the Housing Office to make adjustments in room occupancy to accommodate changing University needs.
The following policies apply to double-occupancy accommodations:
- Students who receive financial aid from the U.S. government who wish to change from a single to a double room once the year has begun must visit the Financial Aid office to revise their financial aid budget and award to match the reduction in charges.
- If a student changes from a double to a single room, charges will be increased accordingly, but the financial aid award will not be increased to cover this additional charge.
- A student who occupies a double room and wishes to change rooms must find a new roommate before moving. If a student moves into a new room without a roommate, they will be charged the single room rate after three days of occupancy. If a designated roommate chooses to move out, please come to the Housing Office to arrange for a new roommate within three working days or your billing status will change from a double to a single accommodation.
The following policies apply to single-occupancy accommodations:
- A student who wishes to change from a single-occupancy room to another single room once the year has begun must visit the Housing Office to arrange for the change.
- A student who wishes to move from a traditional, single-occupancy room into a single Vedic architecture room must apply to Housing and notify Financial Aid once the request is approved. Additional charges apply.
Note: the University also reserves the right to change room assignments during the school year under special circumstances.
Off-campus housing
An eligible student who is vacating a campus room in order to move off campus must contact Financial Aid before moving.
