Student Behavior
Tobacco-Free Campus
According to MUM policy and Iowa state law, no one is permitted to smoke anywhere on campus. This includes outdoors (roadsides, lawns, sidewalks, etc.), and inside buildings, motor vehicles, and other enclosures. Also, use of smokeless tobacco products is prohibited.
Any student seeking help with smoking cessation is encouraged to contact John Revolinski at 641-209-2209 or 641-472-1134. John is an MUM faculty member who is also Program Director of the Jefferson County, Iowa, Tobacco-Free Coalition.
Student Support Meeting: Before a student is penalized for violating the tobacco-free policy, the student meets with the Student Support Committee member in accord with the General Remedial Procedures.
See the Student Handbook for penalties for using tobacco products on campus.
