Maharishi University of Management (MUM) is a participating member of the NACElink Network, an online career services management (CSM) system offered through the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), Direct Employers Association and Symplicity Corporation. Maharishi CareerNet is the online job search system for the Accounting Professionals MBA Program at MUM. Placement policies are listed below.
Data Storage, Access, and Usage
The Accounting Professionals MBA Office uses the data in the NACElink system to facilitate placement of candidates in appropriate curricular practical training (CPT) positions. This includes communicating with employers and candidates regarding jobs, events, and other activities related to recruiting. Reports may be generated for internal use and/or to report aggregate data.
Employers use the NACElink system to post job openings, request resume books, schedule on-campus recruiting events, and manage applications from one online location.
Students and alumni of the Accounting Professionals MBA Program use the NACElink system to post resumes, review job opportunities, and apply for jobs.
Type of Employment
Curricular practical training (CPT) employment must be W-2 employment. It cannot be independent contractor, multi-level marketing, self-employment, or anything other than W-2 employment.
Students completing curricular practical training (CPT) in the Accounting Professionals MBA program are eligible to work full time for up to 2 years in a position that requires a bachelor's degree and is related to accounting.
Jobs on the NACElink system are not reviewed by NACE and may or may not be screened by the Accounting Professionals MBA Office staff. Candidates are encouraged to thoroughly research employers and job opportunities and to use caution and common sense when applying. Students should not disclose social security numbers, credit card information, or bank account numbers to prospective employers.

Third Party Recruiter Policy
In accordance with NACE principles, the practice of the Accounting Professionals MBA Program is to educate students regarding a wide variety of job search strategies, including third party employment services. Individuals can then determine whether utilizing these services will be of benefit to them. The Accounting Professionals MBA Office does not investigate, endorse, or recommend any third party employment services.
Maharishi CareerNet, Maharishi University of Management's online job board system, allows third party recruiting firms/employment agencies to customize their profile, post job listings and view their specific organization’s resume book.
Third party recruiters must disclose the employer/client name and contact information to the Accounting Professionals MBA Office as required by the University's DSO in processing the work authorization. This information will be kept confidential in the Accounting Professionals MBA Office.
Employers posting positions for direct hire will be given preference over third party recruiters posting the same position.
The MBA Program Office does not post positions or opportunities that charge a fee to Candidates.
By participating in these services, organizations agree that they will adhere to applicable federal and state EEO laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines as well as the appropriate principles set forth by NACE in all recruiting activities, that no fee will be charged to any candidate at any time, and organizations will not disclose resumes or other applicant information under any circumstances to other entities without the applicant’s prior written consent. The Accounting Professionals MBA Office reserves the right to discontinue services to students, alumni and employers who have violated EEO and NACE guidelines.
