Campus Safety
Overview
A staffed phone number and on-campus security service is always on-call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, Campus Safety also patrols by vehicle all hours of the day, every day of the week. The Fairfield Police Department, by arrangement with the University, also patrols on campus periodically.
Campus Security Office — Verrill Hall, Room 43 • Office hours 2:30 – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Phone: ext. 1115 (472-1115) or ext.1117 (472-1117).
Campus security officers are available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Campus security officers are mobile.
Campus Security is responsible for all aspects of safety on campus. Please call 911 for any of the following, and then call Campus Security:
- medical emergencies
- fires or fire alarms
- accidents
- severe intoxication or drug overdose
- Violence — use of force or threat of force directed toward yourself or others
Please call campus security for the followng:
- if you are locked out of your room
- Facilities Management emergencies during off hours
