Resident Advisor Program
The Resident Advisor (RA) program has been designed to promote the comfort and convenience of your student residence experience. RA’s provide peer support in the residence halls.
RA Duties
- Help maintain orderliness and quality of residence hall life
- Help organize residence hall meetings and social activities
- Take a personal interest in the progress of all students in the living area
- Assist residents in case of emergency
- Inform Residence Hall Directors (RHDs) of any special student needs requiring the attention of Facilities Management, Housing, or the Department of Student Life
Students who wish to serve as Resident Advisors must be familiar with all guidelines in the Student Handbook (especially those on housing, guests, fire regulations, and student conduct), as well as other University resource information.
Students interested in becoming an R.A. can print out an application, or pick one up from Mary King. Please submit completed application forms to Mary King, Department of Student Life Coordinator, Dreier Building, or email: mking@mum.edu.
