As a nonprofit educational institution under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, Maharishi University of Management is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes. In accordance with section 501(c)3, none of its revenues or earnings may inure to any private individual or group of individuals, or to any private entity.
The University is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions in accordance with Code section 170.
By virtue of its nonprofit status, it may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities, and it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates.
