MBA in Sustainability
Admission Requirements
Acceptance to the MBA program is based upon quality of undergraduate performance, aptitude test scores, or work experience and other achievements. Before applying, please carefully read all requirements below.
A bachelor’s degree with a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 is required. But, if your cumulative GPA is between 2.50 and 2.99, or if you have not studied intermediate algebra and pre-calculus, you may still qualify for the MBA if you score in at least the 60th percentile of the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT). Find out more about the GMAT.
If you have a degree in a related field
If you have an undergraduate degree with a major in Business Management or Sustainable Living, you may be able to earn your MBA in 1 to 1.5 years through a transfer of credits.
For International Students
English requirements: International applicants must meet the following English requirements:
- Fluency in reading and writing (correct use of English grammar, spelling, punctuation)
- Fluency in spoken English — ability to speak and understand at normal conversational speed
All applications are assessed for English writing skills. International students are also assessed for spoken English fluency. A few minor mistakes are permissible. We encourage you to obtain intensive English training from native English-speaking instructors in your home country before applying. If your assessment indicates that your English needs improving, you will be required to take the TOEFL examination and earn a score of least 550 (paper based) or 213 (computer based). Find out more about the TOEFL.
All International students are required to complete the Preliminary Assessment before applying.
International equivalents: Our admissions counselors are familiar with the interpretation of transcripts based on grading systems from most nations. We will evaluate your marks and notify you if you qualify, and if you are required to take the GMAT.
Please note the following points:
- At least 16 years of education are required (15 years may be considered at the discretion of the University).
- Bachelor’s degree must be a 4-year degree (a 3-year degree may be considered at the discretion of Maharishi University of Management).
- Undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 must be equivalent to “B” average in letter grade or higher, based on the USA grading system.
Our recommendation to help you obtain a visa
All international applicants who reside outside the U.S. are encouraged to take the GMAT, regardless of grades and diplomas. A high GMAT score is likely to increase the chances of obtaining an F-1 student visa from the U.S. Embassy. Find out more about the GMAT.
