Chair, Professor of Literature and Writing
Dr. Fairchild earned his Ph.D. in English from the University of Iowa. He teaches Film, Shakespeare, Medieval, Drama, Modern British, Proseminar (Literary Theory), American Literature II. Research areas include Literature and Literary Criticism of the Twentieth Century, Maharishi's Vedic Science as Literary Theory, Bernard Malamud, T. S. Eliot, Frank Waters, Postmodernism.

Nynke Passi
Assistant Professor of Literature and Writing
Nynke earned her M.A. from San Francisco State (Literature and Writing). She teaches poetry, fiction writing and introduction to literature classes regularly. She also teaches First Year Rhetoric and Fiction Writing in the Advanced Writing Program.
Adile Esen
Assistant Professor of Literature and Writing
Dr. Adile Esen trained in Comparative Literature and German Studies and earned her Ph.D. in German studies from the University of Michigan. Her teaching ranges from courses on World Literature, Composition, Music and Literature, and Travel Literature to the Literature of the Fantastic and Romanticism.

Professor Geer earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Harvard. Professional Writer. Teaches First Year Rhetoric and Non-Fiction in Advanced Writing courses, Coordinator of First Year and Advanced Writing Courses.
