Maharishi University of Management Library Director
Maharishi University of Management is seeking a dynamic and resourceful individual for the position of Library Director, a faculty position. The successful candidate will be committed to the regular practice of the Transcendental Meditation® program.
Qualifications include either an MLS or MLIS degree and professional experience in an academic or public library. Applicants with other academic credentials and academic experience will also be considered.
Primary responsibilities for the MUM Library Director:
1) Provide vision and leadership for the library, including supporting the University mission of providing and promoting Consciousness-Based education for all students, staying current with library transformations in the digital age, and promoting and refining library services to meet the needs of the MUM community. This includes scholarship and teaching, serving on university and professional committees, and outreach to other academic library professionals.
2) Working with administration and community leaders in order to provide the best library service and experience for MUM students, faculty, and the community of Fairfield.
3) Prepare and manage the library budget.
