Internships
It's never too early to start thinking about your career. An internship not only looks great on your resume, but it's also an excellent start to your professional career. Even if you are unsure about what career path you'll take, an internship will often help you discover if what you are considering is right for you.
The main purpose of the Internship Office is to assist MUM students in finding an internship in a field they're interested in, and help them secure the internship by providing guidance and assistance throughout the application process. It provides networking leads and placement opportunities in Fairfield, the Midwest, and North America.
Depending on the major, there might be up to 4 months of for-credit internships
Through the Career Strategies Office, we provide a program tailored to each individual involving:
- Goal-setting and decision-making
- Assessment recommendations
- Strategies for career development
- Links for career choices, job listings, and corporate research on the Internet
- Career search skills development (résumé and cover letter writing, networking, and interviewing) of on-line portfolios and video résumés
Please feel free to contact us at any time with any questions or concerns, or to schedule an appointment.
