Using Eudora Light for E-mail
Organizing Your E-mail
Organizing Your E-mail into Folders and Mailboxes
If you save your e-mails, after a while, you realize that it's difficult to find any particular message because you have so many. Organizing both your incoming and sent e-mails into folders and mailboxes helps tremendously. Mailboxes go inside folders. Here's how:
- Choose Mailbox > New.
- In the New Mailbox dialog box, type a name for the mailbox or folder. If you want it to be a folder, check Make It a Folder. Click OK. If you created a folder, Eudora redisplays the dialog box so you can create a mailbox inside the folder.
- You may need to drag a mailbox to the proper folder after you create it. However, you cannot move the default In, Out, and Trash mailboxes. (You can't delete them either.)
On the Mac, you may need to first choose Window > Mailboxes to see the mailboxes.
Forwarding and Redirecting Mail
When you receive an e-mail message, you may want to forward it to someone else. Just click Forward and fill in the To information. Then click Send.
You can also redirect a message. When you redirect a message, the message retains the original sender's address in the From field. To redirect an open message, click the Redirect button from the toolbar or choose Message > Redirect (Not Redirect To). Add the To information and click Send.
