Creating and Applying Colors

If you wish, you can create new colors.

To create colors, use the Color Mixer panel:

To open the Color Mixer, click the Color Mixer button on the toolbar or choose Window > Panels > Color Mixer. You can create a color using any of 4 systems, but Shepley recommends the CYMK system. Just drag the slider bars to create the color you want. To add the color to the color list, click the right button. In the Add to Color List dialog box, you can change the technical name given by Freehand or add a brief description to it. Then click Add. Freehand adds the color to the bottom of the Color List.

Applying a color:

To apply a color, click Color List on the toolbar or choose Window > Panels > Color List to open the Color List. Drag any color swatch to a selected object to apply the color to that object.
