Setting the Format for Attachments (Mac only)

You can set the format for attachments so that they are more easily readable by your recipients:

1. Choose Edit > Preferences.
2. Click the Compose tab.
3. In the Messages section, click "Click here for attachment options." Choose one of the encoding options.
4. On the right side, click None. (Do not use the Stuffit option if you ever send to PCs -- and you probably do.)
5. Under "Compatibility & Efficiency" choose "Append Windows extension to file names." If you want to send attachments to Cc and Bcc recipients, click that option as well.
6. Click the Close button of the window.
7. Click OK.
