Using Eudora Light for E-mail
Using the Address Book
The address book remembers the e-mail addresses of all your correspondents. You list people by nicknames, which can be shortened version of the person's name, such as their first name. When you send an e-mail to someone in your address book, all you have to do is type the nickname. Here's how to add someone to the address book:
- Click Address Book on the toolbar
- Click New at the bottom of the dialog box. (On the Mac, this button isn't labeled. It's just above the To button.)
- Type the nickname. It can be a recipient's first name, or just enough to uniquely identify the person. Click OK.
- The name appears on the left pane.
- On the right pane, type the person's full e-mail address. (You can also include other information. On the Mac, you should also include the person's full name.)
- Click the Close button and click Yes/Save to save the address entry.
To send a message to someone in your address book:
- Start a new message.
- Click Address Book to open the address book.
- Select the person's nickname.
- Click the To button at the bottom of the address book. (You can also click CC or Bcc.)
- You can choose as many people as you want to send mail to several people from the address book.
You can also start without first opening a message. When you click To, Eudora Light automatically creates a new message for you.
