Creating and Sending an E-mail
- If you dial into the Internet using a modem, do so now.
- Open Outlook Express.
- Click New Mail. A new message opens.
- In the To text box, type the e-mail address of the person you are writing to. To s;end a message to more than one person, add a semi-color (;) and type another address.
- In the Subject text box, type the subject of your e-mail.
- In the large white area, type your e-mail message.
- When you're done, click Send.
Attaching a File
You can attach a file to your e-mail. The attached file is sent with the e-mail. The receiver can then read your e-mail and also open the attached file, or save it to the hard drive.
- Create an e-mail.
- Click Attach.
- In the Insert Attachment dialog box, locate the file you want
to attach, select it, and click Attach. (You can select more than
one file at a time by pressing Ctrl (PC)/Command
(Mac)
as you select additional files.) - Send your e-mail. If the attached file is very large, notify your receiver in the e-mail. E-mails with large attachments can take a long time to download.
