Dialing Up to the Internet Through M.U.M.
Configuring the Network Dialog Box
Follow these steps to configure the Network dialog box:
- Choose Start (on the Taskbar) > Settings > Control
Panel.
- Double-click the Network icon to open the Network dialog box.
The Network dialog box should contain two items: Dial-Up Adapter
and TCP/IP. If one of these items is missing you need to add
it.
- To add Dial-Up Adapter, click Add, choose Adapter, click Add,
choose Microsoft from the list of manufacturers, and choose
Dial-Up Adapter. Then click OK.
- To add TCP/IP, click Add, choose Protocols, click ADD, choose
Microsoft from the list of manufacturers, and then choose TCP/IP.
Then click OK.
- If this process adds additional components, select them and
click Remove. If you have other items AND YOU ARE NOT ON A
NETWORK, remove these items as well. If you are on a network and
need to connect to the Internet both through the network and by
dialing-up, leave the other items.
- Leave the Network dialog box open for the next procedure.
