Isabelle Matzkin

Isabelle Matzkin, M.A.

Director of the Institute
Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music and Maharishi Vedic Science

Mrs. Matzkin teaches the theory of Maharishi Gandharva Veda music, which integrates the practice of music with the ancient Vedic art and science of sound, music and consciousness. She designs the curriculum and supervises the courses in Maharishi Gandhava Veda music. Ms. Matzkin has also performed and taught in in Luxembourg, Europe, both at music conservatories and elementary schools.

Binay Krishna Baral

Mr. Baral, a regular performer at All India Radio and TV, has toured extensively throughout India, Europe, Russia, and Israel, to outstanding reviews. He has made countless hours of audio recordings for the Maharishi Channel (Veda Vision), which is broadcasting from a global network of eight satellites to every continent.

Pandit Debu Chaudhuri, one of the world’s leading sitar maestros, visits Maharishi University of Management regularly for concerts and master classes. He has given concert tours all over the world, published over 40 papers, authored 3 books, lectured at more than 130 colleges and universities, and released numerous recordings. His most prestigious awards include Padma Bhushan, the highest musical award given by the government of India, and Sangeet Chudamani “ One who has reached Perfection in Music”, awarded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Vidushi Sumitra Guha

Visiting Artist

Ms. Guha, one of India’s most renowned vocalists, was awarded the coveted title of Vidushi, “top grade artist,” by All India Radio & TV, and earned a gold medal for excellence in music. Ms. Guha has toured extensively in India, west and central Europe, Fiji, and North America, and released many CD recordings. Ms. Guha gives concerts and master classes when she visits Maharishi University of Management.
