The Department of Exercise and Sport Science administers the undergraduate daily physical activity/fitness program, intercollegiate and recreational sport clubs, and an extensive outdoor adventure program. The department also conducts special recreational events for the student body.

The undergraduate daily physical activity/fitness program, know as “Fit For Life,” serves as a dynamic outward stroke of activity to integrate and develop mind-body coordination, and thus balance the academic routine of students. Sport clubs and intramural events provide ongoing competition for sports enthusiasts. During weekends, off-campus recreational and adventure activities are available, such as windsurfing, whitewater kayaking, whitewater canoeing, flatwater canoeing, rock climbing, swimming, horseback riding, and skiing.
