Artisanal Foods and the Slow Food Movement
Come explore and celebrate Earth's abundance, the savory delight we take in our food and the company at our table. Whet your appetite for the 8th Annual EcoFair.
Savor the Flavor, Save the Earth!
Rediscover the enjoyment of what food is: nourishment for the body, soul, and mind! During our EcoFair, speakers will discuss the many fulfilling aspects of Artisanal and Slow Foods, from the strengthening of our family ties while lingering over delicious, nutritious meals to the enrichment of our communities which occurs when people come together as a food community. Artisanal and Slow Foods are about the choices we make in sustaining our health, our life, and our world.
Sustainability and Maharishi University
The students, faculty, and staff of the Sustainable Living program at Maharishi University of Management are organizing this year's Ecofair. The tradition of the Ecofair began with a student-driven desire to educate and inspire people about sustainability, self-sufficiency, and integrated ecological design in the areas of food production, natural energy, water conservation, waste management, and green building construction. This year’s Ecofair continues in this tradition with a focus on linking global issues and local issues, and this year, features an emphasis on artisinal food. This year's event promises to host a variety of hands-on activities!
Maharishi University of Management’s unique system of Consciousness-Based education brings heightened awareness to this event in the form of the role which each individual takes in creating a world which is sustainable.
Eco-Jam
The Eco-Jam is a celebration which includes an eco-fashion show, live music, and dancing. It's a creative expression of sustainability principles which help us maintain a nurturing relationship with the earth. Fun fun fun!!
