Practical training opportunities on the rise
Recently a prospective student sent us a question asking, "What are the chances of getting a practical training job in the US when so many of its IT jobs are outsourced overseas?"
Here is how we answered this question:
When companies outsource their low-end work, it frees employees to concentrate on streamlining other aspects of their businesses. According to a recent report, savings from outsourcing will allow US companies to create 317,000 new jobs in 2008.
Our students find jobs in the US quite easily. Two thirds of the most recent group of students found practical training positions within a month of starting their search. Starting salaries average $62,000 per year. Students often get substantial raises after a few months on the job.
