Student tops 3,000 job applicants
Daniel Bedassa, from Ethiopia, has received a job offer from Cylab, Inc. located in Falls Church, Virginia near Washington, D.C. He will perform his two-year curricular practical training doing web development and applications programming for Cylab's clients which are mostly government contracts. This is a full-time position with full benefits.
The Human Resources Manager at Cylab said that they have been searching for the right person for three months. They reviewed over 3,000 resumes and interviewed 100 candidates. Fortunately, Daniel had all the precise qualifications they were looking for. What made Daniel stand out from the crowd? The manager said that he had all of the precise technical qualifications that were required. In addition, he had not moved around too much, and he demonstrated the ability to learn quickly.
Dean Greg Guthrie offered words of congratulations. "This is a big milestone for Daniel and an obvious benefit to the University and the Computer Professionals Program. It's students like Daniel working in practical training jobs at firms around the country who have given our program such a great reputation and created good opportunities for other students."
