A good start

Forty-eight students from 11 counrties joined the Computer Professionals Program this week and they are getting familiar with Maharishi University of Management, the USA. They are delighted with their new experiences.

“I’ve dreamed about being a student in the United States for a long time,” relates Kiran Sharma of Nepal. “Now that I am here I feel very happy that I have realized my dream.”

Students started their first class, the Science of Creative Intelligence (SCI), on Monday. This serves as an orientation to the Consciousness-Based approach to education at Maharishi University of Management. “I find SCI very interesting,” Kiran reports. The first computer science course, Modern Programming Practices, will start in a few weeks, although many students will begin preparing well before then.

In June the students will start posting their resumes and searching for curricular practical training IT jobs at U.S. companies. Students in prior classes have had outstanding success. Over 70 companies have hired our students in the past six months at a salary range of $55,000 to $75,000 per year.
