Active Learning and Student Engagement
MUM emphasizes the value of student engagement and active learning in the educational process. Our small classes allow for an abundance of in-class student discussions and small group projects, and professors are committed to making the knowledge relevant, satisfying, and exciting to the students.
Active and collaborative learning
Students learn more when they are actively involved in their education and asked to think about what they are learning in different settings, including collaborating with other students. Our classes feature an abundance of student discussion and small group projects.
Student-faculty interaction
Students learn firsthand how experts think about and solve practical problems through extensive interaction with professors inside and outside the classroom. As a result, their professors become mentors and guides for continuous, life-long learning.
Enriching educational experiences
Complementary learning opportunities in and out of class augment academic programs. Diversity experiences teach students valuable knowledge about themselves and others. Technology facilitates collaboration between peers and instructors. Internships, community service, and senior capstone courses provide opportunities to integrate and apply knowledge.
