Food Assistance
Students applying for food stamps must have work-study or a part-time job, making a gross income limit of $1,127.00 to qualify.

Walk in, and the receptionist will give you the paperwork to fill out. You will then be assigned someone to manage your case. You can also apply online.
Energy Assistance
Sourthern Iowa Economic Development Association (SIEDA)
Location: 201 South 23rd in Fairfield.

Applications for SIEDA energy assistance and weatherization programs may be made between November 1st and April 20th of each year.
SIEDA does not factor in student loan money in the process of approval. More information, and to see if you qualify.
Water Bill Assistance

Students must be able to verify Iowa residency to qualify. Grocery support can be received once every three months.
