Academic Support Center
The Academic Support Center provides learning assistance for students who need an extra boost in their study skills so they can take full advantage of the University’s unique educational experience.
The Academic Support Center uses all the traditional approaches to study skills, writing, and ESL. These include lessons on goal setting and time management, active listening and note taking, efficient study reading, preparing for and taking exams, paragraph development, and grammar exercises These lessons are supplemented and enhanced, however, with the unique learning environment available to all students at Maharishi University of Management.
Students at the University are guided in maintaining a healthy daily routine that includes:
- Twice daily practice the Transcendental Meditation technique. Research consistently shows that this technique awakens total brain potential and has a profoundly beneficial effect on learning ability, physical health, and social behavior.
- A block system of one course at a time, with class from 9:45 a.m. to noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, and a similar routine on Saturday with class ending at 2:45 p.m.
- Three meals a day, which at our dining hall includes nutritious dishes, made with organic ingredients. Many of the dishes are made with Maharishi Vedic OrganicSM produce.
- An early bedtime before 10:00 pm.
- A good exercise routine
