Sustainable Living majors are invited to attend a seed planting workshop hosted by Professor Stacy Maurer.  The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, February 13th at 3:30 in the old SL greenhouse.  Stacy will demonstrate how to make potting mix and prepare planting flats, then students will plant seeds that take a long time to germinate and grow, like parsley and other herbs.  In addition we will plant several varieties cool season plants that can be set out early, like kale and lettuce.

The Sustainable Living department will host more of these workshops throughout the late winter and early spring to plant seeds for the warmer season, so keep an eye out for further announcements.  Also, if you are a SL major who has yet to claim a plot in our community garden please contact Stacy Maurer (smaurer@mum.edu) to reserve your spot today!
