Sustainable Living Department Hosts Renowned Permaculturist Darren Doherty for "Drought Proof Your Farm" Workshop
keyline plowThe Sustainable Living Department invites you to attend "Drought-Proofing Your Farm Utilizing Keyline Design", a weekend workshop November 30-Dec 2 with Australian permaculture expert Darren Doherty.  The workshop is an intensive blend of technical & practical sessions targeted at farmers, professional land managers, consultants, designers, earth movers and anyone with a strong interest in sustainable land management and soil creation. 

Sponsorship by our partners including Practical Farmers of Iowa, Leopold Center, National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT), Backyard Abundance, and Solar-powered KRUU 100.1 FM allows us to offer this workshop for only $100 for the general public,  $25 for students, and free for MUM students!  Meals and Lodging are not included. 

Even if you're not able to attend the entire weekend, consider joining us for our kick-off event, where Mr. Doherty will give a presentation about the keyline plow technique.  This lecture is free, open to the public, and takes place at Dalby Hall in the Argiro Building on the MUM campus, from 7:30 - 9:00pm on Friday, November 30th.
