Study Abroad in India
MUM is very excited to announce the next Rotating University to India from Jan 15 to Feb. 20 2014. This trip will be a combination of deep silent experiences for 2 weeks at the Brahmasthan of India, which includes long meditation, listening to live Vedic performances and profound knowledge. We will have the chance to hear 1331 Pandits performing the Rudra Bhishek Yagya – a yagya for world peace. Included in the 5 week tour will be three weeks of travel around India seeing many of the ancients sites sacred to Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists. We will experience the ancient Vedic culture of India and modern Bollywood as well. We will visit Allahabad, site of the memorial to Maharishi and home to the recent Kumbha Mela that had over 100 million people in attendance.
We will take a dip in the Ganges River and visit the Ashram of the Shankaracharya where Maharishi spent most of 13 years with Guru Dev. Other highlights include: a boat ride down the Ganges at the most ancient continually occupied city in the world – Varanasi, a visit to Sarnath where Buddha gave his first lecture, visit to the Taj Mahal, and Rishikesh where Maharishi had his first meditation and teacher training academy. We will visit ancient caves and white water raft down the Ganges in the foothills of the Himalayas. This will be a fully guided tour with comfortable hotels and healthy food.
Come join us Tuesday night May 14, at 7:45 in Festival Hall for a slide show of past trips to India.
