SAVING THE DISPOSABLE ONES
A Film Showing:  Benefit Event for Father Mejia's Programs
Sunday, April 21   7:45 pm    Dalby Hall

Please join us on  Sunday April 21st for a special screening of 'Saving the Disposable Ones'-- the moving documentary that follows the work of Father Gabriel Mejia-- the saint-like Catholic priest who has rescued thousands of children across Colombia from the harsh life of the streets.

Over the past 27 years, Father Mejia has created rehabilitation programs that offer these children the opportunity to heal and transform their lives. By means of different therapies, including the Transcendental Meditation technique, they are freed from the torments they endured living on the streets, recover from their drug addictions, and gain skills that will help them create a better future.

"The basic therapy is love.  Love is a powerful medicine for any illness or disorder.  When a child feels he is welcome, when a child feels educators are concerned about him...they change.  The child changes."  --Father Gabriel Mejia

This extraordinary story, masterfully captured by award-winning director Stuart Tanner, offers an inside look into Father Mejia's altruistic mission. His tireless dedication, fueled by infinite love and compassion, offers these children a safe environment where they can rediscover their essential nature and create a life filled with infinite possibilities.

The screening will be followed by a live Q & A session with Father Mejia and Stuart Tanner.

All proceeds from this fundraising event will go towards supporting Father Mejia's programs.
